Abstract

In an increasingly globalized world, documentaries serve as powerful vehicles for fostering intercultural
understanding. By presenting authentic stories from diverse communities, these films transcend linguistic, political,
and geographical boundaries, enabling audiences to engage with experiences beyond their immediate reality. This
paper examines how documentaries function as tools for cross-cultural dialogue, emphasizing their potential to
challenge stereotypes, amplify marginalized voices, and cultivate empathy across diverse populations.
