Abstract

The rapid pace of globalization and modernization has led to the endangerment of traditional crafts in various
regions, particularly in India and Southeast Asia. This abstract provides an overview of a comprehensive study that
explores the ongoing efforts and success stories in reviving traditional crafts within these cultural landscapes. The
research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing case studies to delve into the intricate processes and strategies
that have been instrumental in preserving and revitalizing traditional crafts. The study focuses on a diverse range of
traditional crafts, including but not limited to textile weaving, pottery, wood carving, and metalwork. By examining
successful case studies from India and Southeast Asia, the research aims to extract valuable insights into the factors
that contribute to the revival of these crafts. Common themes such as community involvement, skill development,
market access, and the role of government initiatives are analyzed to understand their impact on sustaining
traditional craftsmanship.
